scatter-bloom
Scatter plot chart animation: data points blooming onto a 3D plane, for data visualization. A scatter plot that blooms onto a tilted plane while the camera drifts along it. Thirteen hundred points arrive over three and a quarter seconds — most on schedule, one in fourteen long before its turn, anywhere along the axis — while the plane rolls a third of a degree, pushes in a tenth and overshoots on the way, and tracks two hundred pixels left. Nothing cuts and nothing lands; the only event in it is data. The roll was recovered by following one rule across a frame that carries five parallel ones inside eighteen levels of luminance; the scale off the perpendicular thickness of the table's header strip, which is a length on the plane and so is immune to both the pan and the roll; the pan off phase correlation on the one band the arriving points do not touch. The cloud climbs and widens together and is skewed up, which is what a duration looks like: nothing is faster than fast and anything can be slow.
